Dr Ghazala’s Philosophy of Care

The Functional Medicine model focuses on the root cause of illness, and recognises that all our body systems are interconnected. It respects the individuality and unique experience of each person and identifies the true cause of disease which is often a combination of genetics, lifestyle and environmental factors.

“I am fascinated by the mind-body connection and have a particular interest in the impact of trauma on the nervous system and the effect on hormonal balance, particularly the adrenal glands. Adrenal dysregulation drives many imbalances and can lead to disease. All our hormone systems are intricately linked and gut health is the central axis for immunity and wellbeing.” – Dr Ghazala

Dr Ghazala thrives on educating through medical writing and podcasting, is a regular contributor to national publications on a wide range of health topics, and was featured in Forbes regarding menopause policy in the workplace.

Watch her appearance on the SHECAN Podcast where she discusses her approach to hormone balancing therapy.
