By Law a prescription is valid for 6 months from the date on the prescription, unless the medicine prescribed contains controlled drugs (i.e. DHEA or TESTOSTERONE). Controlled Drugs are sometimes misused, so strict legal control applies to their supply to prevent them form being misused.
A prescription for the controlled drugs is valid for 28 days from the date on the prescription.
